Slow Progress, but progress

So having moved at the beginning of August and settling into some sort of routine, I’ve only gone and given myself a bit more stress. A new to us puppy, well I say puppy, he is nine months old, never been properly socialised and is the size of a small horse (well not really, but I am quite short). So I’m splitting work and training and it’s all a bit chaotic. I have finished my latest commission (that I can’t share yet) so there is progress, even if it is slow.

Of course there is currently no heating in my studo and the wind howls through the old window, which is getting replaced soon.

Well that was unexpected.

So I know it’s been a while since I updated the website, there is a good reason, honestly. We’ve moved house!

Logically I thought I wasn’t going to be able to give enough time to everything, so I gave myself six months off. It does feel like I’m starting again with promo and work, but the good news is for the first time since I picked up a pencil I actually have studio space, not the kitchen table or the tiny spare room where I daren’t throw paint around and ruin the carpet, now I have a dedicated space where I can do pretty much what I want.

Of course my trusty sidekick Freddie has taken up residence and I have a few extra studio assistants who like to drop down from the ceiling from time to time to say hello…….I’m not a big fan of spiders, but they were here first and I’ve given up asking them to move out.

So today is the first day I’m back in the office so to speak, and it’s feeling rather good. Music on, sun shining through the window, no more working under artificial daylight for me.

I suppose I should get on with some work instead of procrastinating on here.
